Calculating Forfeits & Rescheduled Games into FOP Limits

Bylaw: Article I, Section H, Item 1

โ€œThe maximum number of varsity games, contests or playing dates an institution may schedule is listed in Article I, Section H, Item 1โ€ฆ Further, no student may compete in a sport in an academic year in more than the number of games, contests or playing dates listed below (this includes varsity, junior varsity, freshman, etc.), excluding NAIA-approved postseason participation.โ€

The scheduling limitation is established per season. Any game, match, or contest that must be cancelled may be re-scheduled with the same or another opponent so long as the total number of games played does not exceed the allowable limit for either institution’s sport or athlete. Contests that are forfeited in accordance with approved NAIA-NAC policy shall count against the frequency of play limits.ย ย
